Champagne: 2 teams, The 5 Bollingers in Orange Fedi, Ak, Shirley, Laurie, Gilly versus the Tattingers a case of 6 in Cherry. Louise, Nancy, Dania, Andreea, Sarita and Lisa. Coach Kir Royal blew her silver whistle. The game began after drills of Clicquot and Pol Rogeroll. Fedi was the first to pop the cork! Cheers for bolli! The Orange clinked their glasses Pommer’ing the ball into the net, bubbling up a fine score of 7-1. Game 2  ‘Bucks fizz’ more baskets for the orange. The Tattingers were getting drunk, missing their shots. Coach Kir swopped Feddi with Louise and the Cherry’s started to catch up. Bottoms up from Dania as she sipped a basket in from the side.  Laurie Perrier caught the ball but was too surrounded to pass. AK to the rescue catching rebounds and knocking back the baskets. The hall was hot and the Champagne was not chilled. Nancy was kept in reserve and had a bad reaction to the Rose.
At 8pm I dedicate a toast a glass to X-Badabing and friend who lost her life this week,

Tonight’s big secret was all about keeping Josephine 30th Birthday surprise. Cake, Gift and Badabing Fiz was waiting behind Sarita civil disobedience sitting on the bench. Making a protest and taking photos of the game.
The 2 teams. The Green Meanies consisted of Shirley, Dania, Nancy, AK, Laurie and against the Red and Ready’s Andreea, Feddi, Lisa, Louise Jenny, and Rhonda. First to score for the Green was Dania followed by Shirley.
Dania was on fire tonight scoring again and again. With AK’s height the Reds didn’t stand a chance.
2 water breaks later, Josephine evened the teams. The red won a round. Jenny subbed more than she should have.
Three hip hooray for Jenny for she’s a jolly good fellow.

At 8pm it was birthday cake, booze for Jo.
No bumps!

The Nominees gathered in the great court hall busying themselves with warmups and shooting drills while waiting for Queen Jo to enter with this years Honours List. Once assembled the Queen split the players into 2 teams.
The OBE’s (Obsessive Basketball Efforts) in Blue, Louise, Feddi, Nancy, AK, Andreea, Tulay. Versus The MBE’s (Mad-for-it Basketball Evangelists) in Green, Sarita, Gill, Laurie, Sally, and Shirley. The OBE’s scored first with a team effort between AK, Feddi and Nancy. The MBE’s took their time before Shirley made the green basket to the list. Sarita was first to bow to the Queen finding herself on the floor. No foul was called and the game played on. In between a couple of water breaks and subbing, AK collected her OBE for services rendered to the net. Nancy received her’s for catching, shooting and all round team player. Sally was awarded MBE for best blocking. Fedi for Travel. Tulay for a near miss finger Jam. Laurie for marking. Gill for dodging her Marker. The award of the evening went to Andreea for her services to Drama. Her latest film ’Don’t touch my Heir’ The ceremony was fast hot and beautifully exhausting.

Brilliant fun had by all. See you all next week for more fun and if you can make it, drinks after play. X

Louise blew her own trumpet being the first to score. Feddi the next to Dunk-kirk the ball. The reds had control. The greens were all at sea. Dania and Sarita lead the red landings. Then the tide changed AK’s rebounding earns her a chest full of medals. Sally parachuted in under the net. Nancy played with military precision. The Greens were the first to reach 7. Feddi took 2 from the free throw. Do-dah Hitler only had one ball! Humbug said Andreea who hated subbing landed 2 direct hits from the free throw line receiving a knighthood. We’ll fight them on the beaches, the reds used their secret weapon. Remember ladies Queen Jo is always right…even if she is wrong.   At 8pm the time and the red arrows flew passed.
