Lets jitterbug!                                                                                                   Tonights Basketball was full of Fun and laughter, there was enough fun for everyone.                                                                                                          The 2 teams were the Blue Pepsi’s (Lisa, Sally, Laure, Gill and Louise) and the Black Shirley’s Shirley, Rhonda, Tulay, Dania, Edweze.

The Game started with a Wham chorus.                                                                                                                                                                                               I want to shoot that h i g h !  Jitterbug into the net!  Whoo whoo                                                                                                                                           Shirley sang ‘I’m never going to score again, these two feet have got no rhythm… until I passed to you yooo ooo’

Jitterbug! Rhonda scored. She put the boom-boom into the net!                                                                                                                                                                        The Black team kept scoring, leaving the blue Shirley’s not knowing what would be… they had to have faith, faith faith.

Blue Loo lost faith as she claimed the teams were uneven.                                                                                                                                                               Coach Edweze exchanged her for Dania. ‘We could have been so good together if I’d played with you oooh oooh’.

‘Last time I passed you the ball, the very next pass you gave it away. The next catch I will pass it to someone special!’

Baskets came flying in, Jitterbug! Gill put the boom-boom into the net!                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                                         ‘Its time to pick the ball up from the floor, the blues have gotta have faith faith faith…Jitterbug! I’m your man.’ Jitterbug! He scored but it didn’t count.

Lisa played it right right right but ‘don’t let the Rump go down on me’  Jitterbug! It was a love Shack. The sweet smell of love was in the air, you could feel it all around. 2 teams 4 aside., The Love Bugs, in Black Sally Sarita, Louise and Nancy, verses the Love Birds, Sian, Shirley, Rhonda and Tulay in Blue., Coach Edweze gave us some love restraints to improve our game. 3 passes before making a basket or it does love-knot count., Love Bug Sarita won the jump but it was shirley that stole the ball and took the love to the nest. If basketball is the food of love play on play on., We love bugs fell in love with Sarita as she made our bed with 5 amazing baskets 6 if you count the perfect one from the free throw. Nancy made love hearts catching the ball from the outside. Love holds no rebounds said Sally. Love the one your with said Rhonda marking her closely. Tulay got free and scored causing a whoop from the love sick., Edweze changed sides, Louise and Sally with foolish love passed the ball the wrong way. It was love hate moment. A love poem was needed. There was 3 in a bed and the little one said no room for Harvey Weinstein., The birds were leading, the bugs caught up. Love bug Herbie was about to score and win the night when ball was stolen! The Love Birds Won! It was crazy love!, Hands in! See you next Wednesday, we all left hot sweaty but loved up., Bye-bye my loveleys said Sian as we drove off in the city of love in our Mini’s.

4th October 2017

At the bottom of the garden of tenement building ‘Chattering court.’  6 old gals gathered for their usual natter.
A young man Edweze entered the garden with his ball. This was his first Session.
As the old galls stretched they talked. As they ran they rabbited As they practiced shooting they gossiped.
2 teams the Mrs Shufflebottom (Sally Louise and Andreea) Verses Mrs Ramsbottom (Sarita Shirley and Dania)
1/2 court was the size of the garden. 3 aside the garden wall.
The black team Shuffle’ed and buffelled their way around the garden wall guarding their net. Edweze calling the 3 second rule. The ball was over the fence and straight into the wash basket. Out of the key Mrs Ramsbottom’s team kept hold of their washing, pegging their smalls over Mrs Shuffelbottoms teams eyes. Stealing their undies from beneath. It was equal pegging. Fouls were called. Back chat was heard. There was a lot of pushing and shoving to get the washing out to dry. Dania aimed for the back door, Sarita ran up the tradesmens. Andreea was fast, catching the pegs as they passed, scoring some incredible baskets from the parameter of the garden. At 7.50pm a request for full court was heard but the old girls could not cut the grass, they were exhausted. Back to the court yard. At 8pm the neighbours entered and the game came to a close.
C U NEXT WEDNESDAY YOU BIDDIBINGS!
