Tonights write up will be sung by Elton John. Called
‘Feddi like the Wind.’
Though we hardly knew you at all
We know that you will replace yourself, the odd week with Edwarz, While all those around Play a game, a game of 5 aside, (Fed, Louise,Sarita, Lisa, Gillian,) in black while those (Dania, Sally, Andrea, Shirley,Tulay, Malinda) in Purple lived their lives watching Feddi like the Wind,
Never knowing who to cling to When sub came in. And I would have liked to have known you but you are just a kid, Feddi burnt out long ago before Jo’s legend ever did. Dania played the toughest gal at basketball, she created a superstar, Far long ago Feddi ever did. Sally got a applause for a basket that she did, but Andreea got 2 in when the game set in. The game was tight with one point in, Never knowing who to cling to when the sub came in, we would have like to have known who was last to score, the last black basket, Sarita the legend did.
See you all next week for more fun on the court.
From next week Josephine will be subbing herself with Edwarz. He and She will be coaching us ready to play St Charles. Eek!
the last basket
It was the eve of Roshashannah and the Jews that love basketball more than Shul played a 5 aside game. The 2 teams
The Yentil’s in blue (Louise, Nancy, Sally, Sarita & Feddi verses the Gentiles in Purple (Tulay, Gilly, Lisa, Josephine and Dania)
Josephine started the game by blowing the Shofar (rams horn) to Start….Giddd-i-iorrr…Giddd-i-iorrr .
Sally won the jump and the blue jews were the first to score. Blinded by the light Feddi ran up the court like a burning bush shooting into the net. Hallabuluju!
Josephine gave us the commandments Thou shall not run with the ball, this is called travel. One should pass the ball to your teammates. Dania listened well and brought the ball down, chosen by God to follow a path to the brisket. She scored a corker. Both teams alike stared in awe of the miracle before them. Man to man I followed Dania. 3 times she saw the light at the top of the bimah and scored. Who’s on Tulay I heard them call as she scored. God blessed Lisa with a basket…Giddd-i-iorrr…Giddd-i-iorrr. Sarita and Feddi equaled the scores for the leading Yentiles. Hallabuluju! Nancy too was chosen to catch balls directly under the net without being hurt a miracle! While Sally just popped them in. Dania got her usual fist in the tit. Meanwhile Rabbi Josephine took the service, the Gentiles caught up whipping those rebounds from beneath the blues eyes. The final score was to the Gibbity-gibbet -Gentiles whose faces had turned purple.
At 8pm The Shofar blew one last time. Giddd-i-iorrr…Giddd-i-iorrr.
A sweet new year to you all ‘Shanah Tovah’
It’s Master chief finals 2 teams 4 x 4. The Purple Beets Louise, Shirley, Feddi and Lisa played the Blue Spring greens, Tulay, Sarita, Andreea and Dania. Together a perfect recipe for coleslaw. After warm ups and weave gratings we started a game. Jump ball. Lisa verses Tulay. Lisa passed to Louise, Louise to Feddi and the first bowl was made. With praise from head chief Josephine, Andreea added a carrot to her throw, the cole-scores were even. The purple beets fought back using organic ingredients from Shirley and all the way running beans from Feddi. The Purples were sprouting. Sarita turnip’ed the ball and the blue greens were now cooking. Dania added a light collie sauce and the scores 7-5.
The temperature was heating up, we added water, swopped sides and the game started to steam. With only 5 minutes left to Zone we added a flurry of braised baskets including Lisa’s first score, all served up with a hot lemon ju. The scores finished at 9-9 Hip hip Savoy!
Lettuce see you Next Wednesday for more fun in the kitchen.
The Hurricane season has begun
2 Hurricane teams of 4 on 4
Hurricane Harvey blew havoc in Black, Feddi, Tulay, Mikaela, & Andreea While Hurricane Irma wiped up a storm in pink Louise, Sarita, Shirley and Laurie.
Coach Dorothy threw the ball for a jump start. Feddi V Shirley. Though the ball was scooped up by the pinks, whirlwind Feddi stole it back and Hurricane Harvey were the first to score twice in a row.
Laurie blew the ball into the net first for Hurricane Irma. Both Storms were powerful tonight but with Mikeala’s height looming over the sky Hurricane Harvey was in the lead. Feddi’s winds blew the ball out of Shirley’s hands and into her teams basket. Mikeala tripped as she received some debris to the head. Andreea shot a ball straight over the rooftops, a direct hit to the net. Lightening strikes for a water break. The score now 5 -7 to the black Hurricane Harvey.
In the break Dorothy swopped Feddi with Shirley.
Laurie excelled herself this evening catching every ball thrown at her though Tulay took a beating from her as she collided into her more than once.
Sarita thundered down the court like a twisting tornado and the teams were neck and neck. The wind blew cold for Andreea before she realised it was a shot in her favour. In the second half a tidal wave changed for Hurricane Irma and with Andreea’s broken wind helped redirect Louise’s shot for a terrific basket. This started a Tsunami of baskets for the team Irma. 5 in all scored by Queen Tornado herself (ME) a change of wind for the better. We all leaped over the rainbow at 8pm the scores had escalated to 12-9 to Irma.
C U Next Wednesday for another humdinger of a game with Hurricane Jose.
